Artistic styles
There are about seven type of artistic styles for games I am going to analysis 4 of them
Photo Realism
Photo realism is artistic style where you can take a picture then put it on a software where you can trace the image to make it more accurate for the object it is making. Photo realism is also an artistic style to make it look more realistic and sharper for better fell, so if it was a car it would probably look more real than actual one e.g. like an effect reflecting scenery would do it more cleanly and sharper than the real counterpart.
exaggeration is game artistic style which is like anime or manga the features of characters are made to look more exaggerated for example they made the eyes bigger or the hair gravity defying but style can also be made for more fake but awesome look battles between characters so like a scene from kingdom hearts where they deflect infinite lasers from the main boss (6:34) which in reality would

Abstraction
abstraction game are to with shapes so like tetris which is game where you fit shape in to make them all fit together. Also abstract games are normally suppose to be colourful and to have a playful vibe so it can look more interesting to look at.

Pixel
pixel is style where to put lot of small pixel to make a object like a sprite or building and normal depending on era pixel have more colour to make them look more three dimensional rather than 2DA game that picked which is 3D and has a pixel artistic style is Pokemon gold and silver but also the remake to show far they got with using pixels
